| It is over 300 years since the first license was granted in Herlev. However the present inns history can, with certainty, be traced back to the beginning of 1863, the same year that King Christian IV ascended the throne. Since then the inn has functioned as the towns natural gathering point, and the place where 'Copenhageners' went to for a day in the countryside. Herlev is, today, a cosy town with the old inn, church and shopping street in the centre. This is the place that many business people and tourists travel to when they wish to stay in tranquil surroundings near the country's capital. |
