| Enjoy the tranquillity of the Finca Es Torrent, an old Majorquin country house reformed and restored –keeping the original style and structure- and now converted into a country hotel.The Finca is situated in the South of the island, near Campos. This small town holds picturesque weekly street markets with items of local handicrafts and has many handsome buildings of historic interest.Es Torrent is only 35 km from the airport and the best and most unexploited beaches of Majorca are only 5 km away.Because of its location the Finca is ideal for those who look for nature and tranquillity. In Es Torrent you can enjoy nature to the full taking long walks around the Finca, touring by bicycle, etc. There is also a large living room with Satellite TV, books, cards and other table games, and the outside swimming pool is surrounded by the lovely old trees of the Finca’s gardens. | W E L C O M EEnjoy the best beaches of the Island, living in the countryside.Son Marge is a property of about 20 hectares, situated in the South East of the island, an area where one still notices how important agriculture once was in Majorcan life. The rural atmosphere has been perfectly combined with comfort, so as to give the best service to our guests.The distance to Palma and its airport is 45 and 30 minutes respectively.The surrounding flatland is ideal for biking excursions and visit the villages of Campos, Ses Salines and Colonia de Sant Jordi, which are all very nearby.At only 4 kms you will find the most beautiful beaches of Majorca such as Es Trenc, Sa Rápita and Ses Covetes, amongst others. From the leisure ports of Sa Rápita and Colonia de Sant Jordi, daily boat excursions to the Natural Park of the Island of Cabrera can be made.Another place to admire is the marsh area of Es Salobrar, the second largest of the island and considered as Protected Area. Here you will have the opportunity to observe many ornithological species.At only 1 km. you will find the thermal baths of San Juan de La Font Santa, the only Hot Springs on the island.Golf lovers have plenty of possibilities to practice their favourite sport. The nearest course, Son Antem, is located at about 15 minutes. If you prefer to play mini-golf, we have the only 18-hole course of the area at your disposal, completely free of charge. The tennis-court, bicycles, and ping-pong table are also to be enjoyed by our clients at no additional cost.The Finca Son Marge consists of 3 buildings. In the main building you will find the communal areas such as reception, restaurant and bar, all with air conditioning. The main and the second building are connected by a pergola, where a gentle breeze makes a barbecue evening and get together with friends so much nicer. The apartments are at the other side of the swimming pool. Each day we offer a varied menu for dinner. Regularly you can enjoy special dishes like suckling pig, lamb, etc...prepared in our firewood oven. One evening per week is reserved for a grill. At noon we can also serve a selection of snacks to those guests who prefer to spend the day at the finca. The second building is destined only to accommodations. All 5 double rooms and 5 junior suites have a private terrace with view on the garden and the swimming pool. All accommodations are equipped with central heating, safe, ceiling fan, satellite TV, microwave oven, water boiler and minibar. A hairdryer, bathrobe and pool towels are as well provided. The apartments are located in the third building. Each apartment has about 52 m2 plus a private terrace, and consists of a living-dining room, a fully equipped American kitchen, double bedroom and a full bathroom. The spacious living room has a sofa bed for two persons Especially for persons confined to a wheelchair, one of the apartments has a shower instead of a bathtub. All accommodations are equipped with central heating, safe, ceiling fan, satellite TV and minibar. A hairdryer, bathrobe and pool towels are as well provided.WINDMILL: The windmill is normally offered free of charge to our clients with late departure flights and who wish to stay on the property until the time to leave for the airport. The ground floor of the windmill-tower has a small living room, a bedroom with two separate beds and a full bathroom. An interior staircase leads to the second floor with a room for a third person, as well as a very nice and private terrace overlooking the garden and the swimming pool. The windmill has the same equipment as the other accommodations, such as safe, minibar, microwave oven, water boiler, TV and satellite TV, hair dryer, pool towels etc. VEGETABLE GARDEN: Depending on the season, most products used in the restaurant come from our own vegetable garden.Closed:1.11.02/3-3.4.03/4 |
