| Saas-Fee – the pearl of the Alps – starts where the road ends. Automobiles are not permitted in Saas-Fee. Succumb to the spell of this majestic natural paradise, with its breathtaking mountain surroundings and its massive glaciers. Very centrally situated about five minutes from the cable cars. A transfer to the lifts is offered by the hotel in the mornings. A nice sun terrace outside the front of the hotel leads up to the reception and once through the door the world of carved wood and antique furniture pervades. The Romantik Hotel Beau-Site was originally built in 1893 and some of the original stonework still remains. In recent years much modernisation has taken place but with great care being taken to maintain the beautiful original „Valais“ style. The dining room has beautiful hand carved antique chairs and here you will be served a fine five course menu, with a choice for the main course and the dessert, together with a large salad buffet. Once a week dinner is the Swiss speciality “Fondue Chinoise” and on another evening there is a magnificent buffet dinner with a wide choice of hot and cold dishes. Breakfast is laid out as a very ample buffet (including bacon & eggs). The Beau-Site also has two à la carte restaurants. The rooms and suites, most of all with balconies that overlook the village and across to the impressive glaciers and mountains, are furnished in a modern style with all comforts you would expect in a four-star establishment. There are also several apartments which are ideal for families. A log fire burns in the hearth in the comfortable lounge and there’s also a bar with cocktail-card and parlour games to have a comfortable time with friends. The swimming pool has recently been completely renovated and includes a “relaxation area” with sauna, steam bath, massage, aromarium and “tropical rain” in the pool. Here you will find a relaxing oasis, to free your soul and to be revitalised. Vitality and personal happiness are the most precious non-material goods. Urs Zurbriggen and his engaging wife offer warm and genuine hospitality and you will invariably meet guests who are making a third or fourth visit due to the impeccable service, relaxed ambience, fine cuisine and excellent rooms.
