| SITUATION: In the mids of the mountains named 'Burguesa' is the spacious estate of Son Boronat located, part of the municipality of Calviā, in the South/West of Majorca, arround 3 kilometers far away from the city of Calviā. The villages Palmanova, Magalluf and Puerto Portals, with their beaches and nightlife are arround 6 kilometers away. The distance to the capital of Palma is 18 kilometers, to the airport 23 kilometers. ...OUR HISTORY: Son Boronat is an extraordinary example of the mallorquian architecture. Already arround 1000 before our time, in the epoch of the Talayot and Pre-Talayot, there were funeral in the close by coves on a high social level. The deceased are buryed in wooden coffins, equipped with jewelleries and other additions. Centuries later the Finca used its local advantage to build a large irrigation system. The water was canalized and wells from Arabic tradition were built. ...At the end of the XIV century a defence tower was built to ward off the attacs from pirates against the cost of Majorca. Since this time to the XX century the Finca was permanently growing. It was built a central square, lots of accomodations, a house for the sovereign, the 'House of Masters' (casa de los amos), water reservoirs, a chapel, halls, wooden and stoned benches, fireplaces and lots of other elements of this noticeable epoch. All buildings cover an area of arround 2000 m˛.
