| The Petra Marriott Hotel is situated on a steep sloping site overlooking the dramatic and picturesque Petra valley. The 100 room hotel was built in 1996 and has recently gone under a major renovation before being branded as a Marriott. The hotel is a short five minutes drive from the Visitor Center at the entrance of the historic and magnificent Petra the Rose-Red City which was built by the Nabataeans over 2000 years ago.
